Birks Works is local-grown jazz group, named in honor of a tune written by John Birks "Dizzy" Gillespie. The original members all "graduated" from the Adult Jazz Combo classes offered at the Tucson Jazz Institute, under the patient tutelage of Scott Black. Our regular gig is on the outside patio of Vero Amore restaurant (N Swan and E Fort Lowell, in the Palomino Plaza) on Saturday nights.
This subscription service is an experiment in promoting our music, so join us if you'd like head's up about recordings of our tunes and upcoming gigs. We'll try to keep a steady stream of musical highlights available for you to enjoy and download. We're suggesting donation levels, but intend to set up the site to allow you to download content at no charge.
