Birks Works was formed in 2011 by several members of Scott Black's Adult Jazz Combo class (Tucson Jazz Institute). We're keeping' our day jobs, but we love to to play jazz wherever and whenever we can. You can listen to us nearly every other Saturday at Cafe Jasper in the beautiful foothills of Tucson, AZ. Members include Stu Mellan (piano), Glen Gross (trumpet), Scott Sherman (guitar), Budd Davis (drums), Mark Rein'l-Bautista (bass, vocals); special guests include Sam Hess (tenor sax) and Malik Alkabir (tenor sax, piano).
